QBE Toursafe International - Travel Plans
Toursafe Travel Insurance from QBE with basic cover for International travel provides unlimited cover for medical and dental expenses, medical and non-medical evacuation and repatriation, cancellation (excluding cruising) and additional emergency travel arrangement expenses. Cruising cancellation has limited cover.
PER ADULT 'Children Free" (Includes any accompanying financially dependant child or children, stepchild or stepchildren, grandchild or grandchildren, nieces and nephews, under 25 years of age at the time the Certificate of Insurance is to be issued)
International Travellers 70 years or over must apply online for a Medical Appraisal, regardless of their state of health.
REGION A...Cover for the USA, Canada, South and Central America and Antarctica
(Travellers must select this Region A travel plan if they are spending more than 72 hours of their trip in these destinations)
REGION B... Cover for Continental Europe, Middle East, Japan and Africa.
Region B travel plan is not available if more than 7 hours of the trip is spent in Region A destinations
REGION C...Cover for UK, Asia and Tahiti...
Region C travel plan is not available if more than 72 hours of the trip is spent in Region A destinations or the majority of the trip is spent in Region B destinations
REGION D...Cover for Pacific Region and Indonesia.
Region D travel plan is not available if any of the trip is spent in to Region A, B or C destinations
REGION E... Cover for New Zealand only.
Region E travel plan is not available if any of the trip is spent in Region A, B, C or D destinations
Are You Sure Your Have The Right Level Of Cover?
You need to make sure the limits of cover are adequate for your needs.
Otherwise you may be under insured and have to bear part of the loss that exceeds the limits yourself.

QBE Travel Insurance addVANTAGE option
The QBE addVANTAGE+ Option allows you to add a range of increased and additional benefits to the basic Comprehensive International Travel Plan.
Costs for the QBE addVANTAGE+ upgrade option are: International Travel Plan - Region E = $25 International Travel Plan - Regions A, B, C & D = $50.

The QBE addVANTAGE+ Option offers the following additional benefits on the International Travel Plan:
. Double Qantas Frequent Flyer points i.e. 1 QFF point for every $1 spent
. Cruise Cancellation Cover increases from $2,000 to unlimited cover
. Personal Computer Item Limit increases from $1,000 to $5,000
. Camera and Video Item Limit increases from $1,000 to $5,000
. Set of Golf Clubs limit increased from $500 to $1,000
. 'New for Old' luggage cover on items purchased new and less than 3 years old.
. Cover for Stolen Cash up to $250
. Emergency Luggage increased from $500 to $750
. Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess increases from $4,000 to $8,000
. Travel Delay increases from $1,000 to $2,000
. Agent's Cancellation fees increased from $2000 to $5000
. Snow Sports Package includes cover for claims that result from participation in snow sports, as well as cover for:
Ski Lift Passes ( $300 ), Ski Run Closure ( $500 ) and Hiring Replacement Snow Equipment ( $500 )
. Cover for Sporting equipment damaged whilst in use up to $500

Specified Item Cover
You can cover items worth more than the item limits for the selected travel plan, on payment of an additional amount. Items separately insured under Specified Item Cover are covered up to the amount specified, even if this amount exceeds the total luggage limit set out in the Schedule of Benefits.

You must insure the total value per item. Please ensure you have proof of value (not more than 12 months old) of any item you specify. This will be required should you make a claim. Depreciation does not apply to specified items in the event of a claim. 24hr World-Wide Emergency Assistance
When disaster strikes and the unthinkable happens, it's reassuring to know someone back home is ready to take your call and assist you. Our dedicated QBE - OMEGA travellers' assistance teams are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide you with assistance when you need it most.
QBE's in-house emergency assistance service OMEGA has been providing help to travellers since 1992.
Whether it is in Vietnam or Canada, one call connects you to someone back home. It's comforting to know the person you are speaking to, is part of the QBE Travel team of trained medical and insurance specialists, who can make decisions regarding your situation and provide assistance when you need it the most.
Qantas Frequent Flyer Points: One Qantas Frequent Flyer point can be earned for every two dollars spent on an International Travel Plan. You will be eligible for these points upon departure. Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 6 weeks of departure.
If you purchase a QBE addVANTAGE+ Option at the time the original Certificate of Insurance is issued, you will earn double Qantas Frequent Flyer points. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn points in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. A joining fee applies. Matters You Need To Know About
Cooling off Period ... If, having purchased the policy, you want to return it, you can do so within 14 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no right or power has been exercised under it by you (eg no claim has been made) and your trip has not commenced. QBE's Distributor will arrange for a refund of the amount payable within 15 business days of you cancelling your policy. The Cooling Off Period does not apply to policy or trip extensions.
Confirming Transactions ... A Certificate of Insurance must be issued once you have completed your application form and you have paid the appropriate premium. If you want to confirm a transaction, for example whether the Certificate of Insurance has been issued, then you may contact us in writing or by phone
